I have taken Spanish lessons with Marco, and more recently with Maria as well, for about a year and found it to be the absolute best way to learn. Traditional classroom courses were too costly and didn’t provide nearly enough speaking opportunity, but learning one-on-one with Marco and Maria was a fantastic way to rapidly improve my Spanish while learning more about local culture and having enjoyable conversations. The classes were tailored specifically to my needs and helped me pass a required language exam. I’ll be returning for more lessons soon to improve my subjunctive!

I have been studying Spanish with Marco via Skype for about one year, meeting for a couple of hours every week. I’ve tried attending “formal” Spanish courses periodically thorough the local universities and always found myself frustrated because the classes never moved at my pace. Working with Marco has been spectacular and improved my Spanish immensely. Some nights we focus on a particular grammar point (mostly verbs – my weakness) and he provides a comprehensive lesson, always complete with study sheets. Other nights we just pick a topic and talk –with him interjecting minor grammatical corrections. We’ve discussed movies, books, magazines, recent events, politics, local culture, cuisine, and just about any topic that pops to mind. Marco certainly knows how to relate to teenagers as I heard my son laughing and laughing during his trial lesson!
